With TC Publisher ID for Desktop Code Signing, content providers and software developers are able to digitally sign their software applications, macros, device drivers, firmware images, virus updates and configuration files for secure transmission over the internet.
Digital IDs are virtual "shrinkwrap" for your software.
If your code is tampered with in any way after it is signed, the digital signature will break and alert customers that the code is not trustworthy. When installing the signed applications the holder of the TC Publisher ID will be displayed as trusted software publisher. A timestamp option shows when the application was signed, allowing customers to verify that the code signing certificate was valid at the time of the digital signature.
